Hi everyone! I’m Patricia from CDD team and today I’m going to show you a birthday card in one layer technique.

To prepare my card in a one layer, what I do is work on a cardstock which is going to be the base of my work. In it I will stamp all my stamps that I will use and then color them. Once all the work is finished I will add it to my card base. I do it this way because when coloring with Copics, sometimes you can transfer the paper and it would not look nice when you open the card.

As it is about having all the elements in the same layer, once I have all stamps colored, I cover them with post-it (you could also cover them with mask paper) and splash ink with a brush. This cardstock isn’t as absorbent as watercolor paper but it also looks good and will give the funny touch to this birthday card.

I use differents spray inks but I use a brush instead of the spray to drip the ink. And also use a Copic marker to make drops in background.To finish decorating I have also used Enamel dots.
